The Rationale Behind Knowledge-Driven Research Funding
Research funding has prerequisites and the nature of future research funding depends on the analysis of these individual prerequisites. Would it be plausible, for example, that algorithms could take over the work of research funding organizations? It would be necessary, first of all, to know what kind of decision-making processes funding organizations utilize. A closer examination of this question will reveal that there is an irreducible dilemma of funding that is institutionalized between contingency and legitimacy.
